About Elixir

An elixir is a panacea, a cure all, or a sovereign remedy (dictionary.com). It's a magical Something that nourishes and restores where other cures fail.

 

Everyone needs an elixir for ills that can't be fixed by outside intervention. We all get stressed, or damaged, or just plain run down by the world, and each one of us has go-to places or activities that restore us.

 

Medicine and counsellors have their place - I've used both - but there is no replacement for an elixir. I hope you find yours . . . I'm still finding mine.

The photographs in this blog were all taken by me, many with my lowly Blackberry while on business trips across Northern Ontario. A lot of them were taken in my backyard, or in areas nearby my home in Thunder Bay, Ontario. All of the poetry is my original work.
